April Fools Day

Happy April Fools Day.

Must admit to traditionally playing a trick on the family on this day every year. Favourite was when the kids were in their teens & I told them the toilet flush was bust, so had them using a bucket of water for most of that morning.

Got Mrs Eggs this morning, told her the 08.00-09.00 Sainsbury’s delivery was here at 06.00am. She jumped out of bed & wasn’t too pleased when I shouted ‘April Fool’.

I despise April Fools’ Day in my line of work. Had to wait all afternoon to get a press release out for my company because “the brands” were all tying up the service so they could get their unfunny jokes ready to go out in the morning.

Fo my daughter this day couldn't come soon enough. She and her best friend have been chatting nonstop about all the pranks they were going to play on us. She even hang a white board to keep with the score. However, it was me the one who played a joke on her this morning so I'm already up a score lol

I've noticed this year that people are less enthusiastic about April Fools day, like lockdown isn't enough tedium as it is.

Although I saw a good one on Facebook earlier. Someone had posted a fake article about people refusing to get the COVID vaccine getting their benefits stopped.
