Apple Macs and The shout box

Hi guys, now I'm not much of techie but I have a mac mini at home for surfing the net and doing minnimal design on.

When I come onto this forum the shout box doesnt refresh so I have to press refresh every time I make a comment- its really annoying and very time consuming. I use safari as my browser- does anyone have any ideas if I can change any settings etc?

Also I have to scroll down about 2 pages worth from the shout box to get to the thread titles- please help if you can?!

dont know macs but, maybe install mozilla (the equivalent of 'firefox') and see if a different browser fixes your problem.

Yeh you have certainly helped me out recently- thanks!

i have one more thing I need help with- I need to fill out an application form for something and I was sent the form as a PDF, how can I type on the PC into that form? My handwriting is [Poor language removed] so I want to be able to type into it- any ideas?

im not an expert on macs, (we still talking about your laptop?) and i have never used a PDF document, but can you...

open the PDF ?
save it as a 'word' document?
work on the document in 'word' (or another text program)?
print it from that program instead of the PDF prog?
