My iPhone 6 has pretty much packed up and my iPad won’t update certain apps now so I’ve just got a deal to get the x and an iPad Pro .

Right transferring stuff , I know contacts transfer over but what about everything else ? Photos , podcast library etc ? Dreading the arsing around and cost of the new contract after being on sim only is gutting lol

Cant you just use icloud to transfer everything?

Itunes backups take photos from your "camera roll" ie ones the camera on the phone has taken. Iported ones don't get backed up. As far as podcasts, I'm pretty sure you'll have to redownload them.

Pay 79p for the 50gb iCloud service. Backup your entire phone to iCloud.

Turn on your new phone, choose “restore from backup”.
Let it do it’s thing and you’ll be back as you were but on your new phone.
