was wondering has anyone read kevin kilbanes book "killa"?.i recently picked up stubbs bio and found it a good read.passionate lad about the blues and well able to convey to the reader his ordeals in dealing with cancer.
kilbane was one of those players that didnt get the pulse racing ,but always honest when on the pitch.good pro!!!

Yeah read Killa's book, he comes across as a nice guy with his share of problems. Always gave 100% while he was here, not the most gifted but a great trier. BTW he seems to really rate ofm.

Killa signed my copy yesterday. Not read it yet. Currently reading the Kendall one

Have read Killa, Stubbsies and HK's. Nothing special in any of them. Saw today that Kevin Sheedy's got one out soon.

Most footy players books are boring now, i like the ones that give you a look at the behind the scenes and tell the dramas.
I can only think of Zlatans that ive enjoyed recently, and mick rathbones had a nice little insight into everton and a few tales in the last few chapters.

Been told paul mersons and harry redknapps are worth a read so might have a go on them next

Try Tony Cascarino's. Tells you how much he was getting paid. Paul McGrath's is probably my fav, honest and very sad.

best one I ever read was Eamon Dunphy's, he was an ex Man Utd apprentice who went on to have a career with several 2nd and 3rd tier clubs including a long spell at Millwall. He was an Irish international and is these days a journalist and broadcaster back in Ireland.

His first book written in the 70's is called 'Only A Game' and his new one, in which Matt Busby is not painted in a very favourable light is called 'The Rocky Road'. These are both good reads from Dunphy who is, to say the least, a rather controversial figure in the Irish media
