doesnt matter just make sure their speeds are the same, and preferably the same brand, even though this usually dont cause problems if they are not.

yeah i am kicking myself now because i bought DD4 last summer and was debating between 8 and 16, it was a bit more expensive because of the timing and latency (3000/15) now RAM prices have gone crazy due to the global NAND shortage.

My box is showing its age. put it together in 2008, since then ive replaced the GPU, CPU and mobo. But i think i want to do a whole new build with an ultrawide monitor. Lot of new stuff coming out from AMD and nVidia. Anyone got any good hardware recommendations?

I appreciated it, i like nerd puns. I probably would have become an engineer (started off studying physics) but there was more money in finance af the time.
