Anyone going to Canada?

Is any coming over to Edmonton for the game? Anyone want to know anything about the city/hotel...etc...Meet up anyone?
 

I'd have loved to but it would cost the same as about 2 European trips for the flights alone so I think I'm going to sit it out & spend my cash on the competitive matches. Plenty should head over there though
 
Thats understandable mate. Can't wait for them to get over here, its about time they came to Canada and not just the US!

Same here, I would love to go but unfortunately haven't got the money. Should be a good game for all of you over in Canada (y)
 
The a few of us coming over, I believe the Indy racing is on, will this make much difference with hotel availibility and costs? What's the bars/pub situation over there, Price of the ale and what time does everywhere close? Any other information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Andy
 

We're coming over from Toronto (with my 2 teenage kids). I thought tickets were on sale today via ticketmaster, but so far they show as not available.

So, steefc4, a few questions:
1) Any idea when tickets will go on sale?
2) Any advice on hotels / area to look, etc. - given the Indy is on as well.
3) What else is there to see / do in and around Edmonton, with 2 teenagers in tow, so I can cionvince the missus to come along and make it an extended long weekend?

A meet up sounds like a plan.
 
Tickets I think go on general sale on Friday...but keep on checking ticketmaster. Hotels....If you can find any hotel room downtown I would book it...If not look either at South Edmonton or West Edmonton...The hotel in West Edmonton mall is nice. Speaking of which...the West Edmonton Mall is a great place to take kids...There is a theme park, water park, a theatre and a few other things.

Meet up in a bar would be great...we need to find the Evertonians and all meet in one place!!
 
Thanks Ste, looks like we'll only be there for the night of the game before moving on, but if you give us the name of a few bars i'm sure we'll bump in to you.

Looks like tickets go on general sale Monday, currently on pre-sale - no idea how you qualify for pre-sale. Everton " fan zone" is sections H-M.

General sale on Monday...I'll be getting in the lower section Everton "FanZone" My mistake a few posts ago...It's White Ave where all the bars are not Jasper Ave
