A few mines of mine are speaking about working on cruise ships… (they are flair bartenders) and a few others are talking about moving to the states/Australia to go work there…
Anyone ever done it? Still doing it?
Can you give me any extra info?
Cheers

Really!? That's pretty cool…
I'm not a flair bartender myself but I work in a pretty busy (one of the busiest in Merseyside) to quite a high level so not sure wether it's time to give working away a pop.
I know with the cruise ships most work on a four months on two months off basis...

Not much chance of getting in Oz permanently but my daughter and son-in-law live there and if I could get in, I'd be there in a crack. Superb place.

Go for it, get away from this dump for a while. But don't be a flair bartender, they are just annoying show offs who keep honest people from getting drunk in a reasonable time period.

Just go for it mate. Worst thing that could happen is you can't stand it and jib it to come home to find another job.

What happens if you love it though, as loads of people do? Travel broadens the mind and most importantly puts you in proximity of tonnes of foreign less sexually complicated girls than back home. They're ace too. And all yours, especially with a British accent on the North American ones.

There will be reasonable apprehension at making the move but put them thoughts out of your head and get it sorted. You're from one of the greatest sea faring cities of human history, you'll be sound.

As a heads up the Aussie Mining industry will die sometime in the nearish future. Get in, earn your money and get out is my suggestion.

If you're not married look into dependent relative visas. If my daughter goes to Oz with her Kiwi passport she'll become a resident, then I'll be over there to get 1 due to us not being wed.
