After watching last nights game I really fancy going to see a game here.
Anybody ever been? are tickets easy enough to get and what's the experience like?
Thanks.

I've been looking on going there myself mate, well to German match on a whole. I've never looked for Dortmund tickets, check their site and click the English flag to translate it. Always been slightly put off as they sing You'll Never Walk Alone before kick off.

I was looking with my Dad though and to see Wolfsburg it would have cost £36 for two tickets.

Dortmund the city is a bit crap? in what way like?

The high street reminded me of a bog standard British one, like Cardiff or Warrington (albeit cleaner). The night life wasn't great either, I was there Tuesday till Friday so not exactly a fair reflection, but British cities like Liverpool or Manchester still have a decent midweek night life.

I wasn't there match day, so a bit unfair, but everyone says go to Cologne, if you want night life, culture, architecture etc in the Rhine-Ruhr region.

Been to see Hertha Berlin v Wolfsburg a few years ago with the wife, cracker of a day, 15 euro to go in behind the goal with the ultras or 22 euro to sit at the half way line second tier, needless to say the better half didn't think much if standing with a load of drunk singing Berliners so to the main stand we went..........lad going around with a beer "barrel" on his back serving beer during the match, so it was a good choice!!!

Been tempted to go Germany loads for the footy, but I'd go Munich tbh

Been to Munich , cologne , hamburg and Berlin and seen footy in all of them but never Dortmund . I absolutely love Germany to be honest , they're very 'British' if that makes sense ? They love their beer and footy and I've been so impressed with both their hospitality and football atmospheres .

Anyway enough meandering I can really recommend all of to varying degrees especially Munich. I'm almost certainly doing to Leverkusen next year as well .

Was it difficult to get the tickets?

Munich and Berlin are both brilliant cities Germany is a great to be fair.

I have always wanted to go to a German game, I have been to Berlin and I loved it. Going to save up and hopefully go before Christmas.

Been to see Dortmund a few times, including the derby at home to Schalke which was boss.

The ground is ace and obviously massive. When the locals get going the place bounces and is up there with the best ground experiences in Europe.

Dortmund itself ain't a bad night out, but not a par on the likes of Dusseldorf, cologne or Frankfurt to name a few.

There's a small red light area just on the other side of the rain station from the main shopping/town centre area ;-)

I went to Munich with my mates for my stag do in March and watched the Munich vs Dusseldorf game at the Allianz Arena (which was a corker by the way! 3-2) and did a stadium tour the day after. Also went to their old ground the Olympiastadion. Good times
