By the sound of it - there is a grounding problem with the subwoofer, or the supply voltage is not big enough or something similar (which is highly unlikely I think). Easily fixable, assuming you know some electricians (seeing as it was fixed once already, which might've caused it in the first place).

Nah mate, the circuits inside. When your gf tripped over it/you were transferring it - a wire pops out slightly or makes contact with another one with which it shouldn't and you have a noise coming out from the speakers when you shouldn't. It will involve the electricians opening it up and probably breaking any warranty that you might have on it, if there is any.was probably the rattling around in the car that caused it - not sure though.
what is grounding? i read that it could be a problem, but i'm guessing it doesn't mean how it's grounded on the floor, because i lifted it up and held it for a few seconds and that didn't make a difference![]()
