I never really learned how to properly play football as a kid but am playing now in an old person league and wanted to know if folks had advice on how to practice dribbling and passing or what to watch/read for good advice. Thank you!

My advice to someone who isn't confident would be:

- always stay switched on defensively

- launch it if you have to

- play simple passes and if you can't do that just hit space

- most importantly, volley anyone who comes within 10 yards of you. Even your own players and the ref.

One of the biggest assets you can do for yourself is to practice looking up and around. So kick the ball against a wall and force yourself to put your head up and look around (left center right) before you look down and trap the ball. You're old, so you can't rely on fast-pace dribbling skills to outrun the youngsters (maybe you can but I can't) so your ability to trap, look up, and make the good pass will mostly be your best contribution to the play.

[Also, in the space below just assume I wrote something funny and sarcastic]:
