I'm a massive petrol head, but that leaves me cold. Classics, now they're the way to go.....

I'm leaning towards classic cars these days like Groucho. Just so classy. I can imagine that one would be pretty difficult to park!

I posted a few classic cars in another thread the other day. The Mercedes 300SL has stolen my heart:

If link a similar aircraft I'm going to start having real suspicions of your true identity

I'm afraid you'll have to ask Bruce Wayne if we can disclose.......

Seriously though mate, I maintain that that's the coolest hot rod ever made. Based on a ([?]'49) Cadillac.

Classics are great largely until you actually come to drive them.

The technology in new cars is so amazing these days that they drive in a way that is total different to the basic designs of yesteryear.

If you someone who loves driving, then most classics wouldn't do it for you when you got behind the wheel.

That said, I love looking at some of the fabulous machines of yesteryear (not monstrous creations like that sideboard that Groucho posted like - actual classics ;) ) But having owned a few, the novelty soon wears off when you're stood next to a lifeless machine on the roadside on a Sunday afternoon.
