I've been over 5000m mate, if I ever do it again it'll have to be worth the pain. Everest is a beautiful mountain, I just want to see it with my own eyes. Daft I know, but it's still an ambition

That's real. Apparently there is only a few days the weather is good enough for an ascent so it becomes a mad rush for selfies.

Some of the big dreams are gone; like playing for Everton, going into Space, becoming a famous Musician, Actor, etc

But some of the smaller ones are still achievable and hey, there's always the Euromillions!

As a child of the Space Race I was fully expecting a long a fruitful career as a monorail driver on Moonbase Alpha.

This may not happen but at least it's not my fault.

I have been on the monorail at DisneyWorld though.

Career-wise: I wouldn't say I had much ambition but things have worked out. Have a well-paying job that's meaningful and that I enjoy
Personal life: I knew I wanted to get married, have kids, etc. Definitely exceeded my expectations in that regard as I continue to marvel at my good fortune in finding the woman I married.
Still would like to make it to all fifty states. Damn you Alaska and Hawaii
