Hayee

Player Valuation: £40m
Seriously now. I have an alcohol related injury from a while back - i fell awkwardly and managed to pull and twist the muscles down my left rib cage - so my gp said. So she gave me painkillers which i RARELY take. It was much better and i barely felt it, until this morning. Now i'm in agony when i move, cough, sneeze etc.. and i've taken painkillers. How can i make it better?

I can rub a bit of Vick on for you Hayee if you get desperate.

Bust ribs hurt for a long time.
I would suggest a nice hot bath, then bed. :)

Isn't much you can do but grin and bear it really. Unless you suffer from some other condition that affects your breathing the GP probably won't do anything but give you stronger pain relief.

Hope it gets better.

This is probably the best advice you will get other than a real quack, he knows stuff about stuff does Mr Browns.

It does count. If it's really bothering you and affecting your breathing I would give your surgery a ring tomorrow mornin. Or if you can't wait, ring the out of hours GP number, depends where you live in Wales for what number it is.

Kapake is paracetamol and codeine phosphate, so it's the same as Co-codamol.
I didn't find them much help.
Stronger pain killers might be Tramadol 50mg or Dihydrocodeine 30mg, or you could ask for something like Gabapentin, like I use now, but it has it's side effects, like being on pot etc, as do the other two. Amitryptilene is another, but both have to get into your system over a few days before they work.
Have you taken anti imflamatories?
Many doctors prescribe the likes of Diclophenic sodium etc, but I've found Naproxen to be the best.
For a good nights sleep, you can't beat Diazepam, but it can be addictive.
