Antonio Cassano is set to have his contract terminated by Sampdoria - not because of some Andy van der Meyde-esque overall shitness, but because he turned down an offer to attend a dinner with the club chairman!

The guy actually apologised for not wanting to attend the dinner but the club refused the apology. He's broken back into reckoning for Italy recently so he's actually a good player too - unsurprisingly, Liverpool and co. are sniffing around.

It's the equivalent of Everton releasing Mikel Arteta because he wouldn't sit down and watch an episode of Corrie with Bill Kenwright xD
