tim cahill

Player Valuation: £50m
Just been reading about this lad, a left back on loan at Bolton.

Sounds like he’s been their best player this year and he’s in the whoscored championship team of the year (so far). He’s 20 years old, 6 foot tall, apparently he’s strong, quick, exciting going forward, very fit, a mature attitude and is destined to play in the premiership. He won the under 23 league with Unsworth last year too.

Hopefully we’ll see a bit more of him next season.

Was reading about him earlier. Maybe he's the reason were holding off signing a left back? Waiting to see how this lad looks in pre season?

Their best player????

Mate he was their worst at first, and now he looks to have settled is doing ok. Lets not get excited!!!

While he played left back for us , including a preseason tour out east a few seasons back , he’s played mostly as an attacking wing back for Bolton this season. We’ve got three on loan players in the Championship and two abroad who have more potential than Robinson , look to them to brighten next season. The likely hood is he’s playing to get a contract with Bolton or another Championship club as in the past he’s not proved he’s not got sufficient defensive qualities for the PL , which of course means he’s going to be our starting left back.
In fairness he has come back from a long injury lay off, got back into our U23s last season , done really well at Bolton and and has really improved his game , but not yet our next left back.

1. Hes not in the whoscored team of the season, Joe Bryan is the seasonal, Ryan Sess is the monthly and Matt Target is the weekly.
2. Also according to whoscored hes ranked Boltons 7th best player
3. 4 Assists in 26 games is decent I suppose
4. Bolton are 19th in the championship

+ Strengths
Dribbling
Key passes
Concentration
Ball interception
- Weaknesses
Holding on to the ball
Aerial Duels
Passing
Tackling

1 to watch for sure and no doubt the loan will do him in the world of good, hopefully he uses this to kick on and push for a place in the next year or 2.

My mistake. He was just in the whoscored team of the week in December.

Was talking to a lad on Twitter a few months ago who said he had been in a hospitality box for a game and Joe Royle had popped in to say hello as he was/is mates with whoever has the box

Anyway, there was a discussion about left backs and Joe supposedly said something along the lines of claiming we wouldn't go out and buy a left back for loads of money like Luke Shaw because we have Robinson coming through who has a big future and a signing like Shaw would block his progression

Found it interesting because I've never really seen Robinson play, but made a mental note to make a point of watching him if the chance ever arises
