in the gym this morning and there are two Manu fans, real Neanderthals, talking to each other, and it went like this...

N1. "Can't wait for them pretend reds to get beat today"
Me to myself... So far so good

N2. "Yeah, we're the real reds and we're gonna be great with Jose"
N1. "Last season wiv van Gaal was crap, this season we'll win a cup".
Me to myself... Er... Didn't they win a cup last year?

N2. "Yeah, fink we'll win a cup too and next year we'll smash da lot"
N1. "Sir Alex sez we're gonna be great again"
N2. "Well if that's what the Godfather reckons"
Me to myself... The Godfather ? Really ?

N1. "Great that Griezmann has signed, best player in the world"
N2. "How much was he?"
N1. "£68 million mate, but they don't wanna announce it yet, keeping it quiet"
N2. "Great mate, where'd ya hear that?"
N1. "Was on MUTV, but they're not announcing it"
Me to myself... Count to ten, they can't help being thick, it has to be something to do with the colour red.

At which point, I lost the will to exercise and tactically withdrew biting my tongue.

"Keeping it quiet", "was on MUTV", pmsl, what the actual.

There are lots of people who read or see a story regarding a player moving and think that's the deal done, signed sealed and delivered.

Sorry Brucey, I reckon he is undeniably one of the best in the world right now and actually shows signs of continual improvement. Still young too.

He was excellent at Real Sociedad before his big move too. For the cup games at Camp Nou when there's not much of a crowd you can wander about to different parts of the ground. Watched most of Barça V Real Sociedad right by the touchline a couple of seasons back and as amazing as it was to see the technique of Messi, Iniesta and Alexis up close, Griezmann also stood out a mile and didn't look out of place in that company.
