Anybody had an ACL injury?
Done mine when I was 15 (now 20) got my knee reconstructed once I'd stopped growing. Hoping someone has re-injured theirs because I think I've done it again but it doesn't hurt that much.
Help me la, them knee forums are poo

I know a bit about knees, what do you want to know?
would it hurt as much as my original one going? Heard exactly the same noise as the 1st time but it hasn't swollen as much & not too painful. Had the hamstring graft if that makes any difference

Are you unstable when you're weightbearing?
From what you've said it suggests that something has gone wrong in that knee. Every injury is different so from pain alone you can't really tell. The grading of ligament tear (if it is indeed a ligament tear) would impact on what symptoms you'd report.
There's also plenty of other things that could have gone wrong, i.e about a million other ligaments, meniscii, tendonitis, fat pad inflammation, OA e.t.c.

Go to a physiotherapist, they'll have tests that they can do to diagnose what's gone wrong, and then send you for a MRI to confirm that.

I can put weight on it doesn't really feel unstable. I can walk now the swelling has gone down but it feels dodgy without feeling unstable if that makes sense. I'll probably give it a week or two before going for an MRI. Sounded like it was pulling apart right in the middle of my knee. Nice one for the advice lid

Did mine in my right knee early twenties, took me about 18mths to get over it properly.
Felt like my leg was on fire when it went. Remember feeling it snap and thinking this is going to hurt and then collapsing !
