There seems to have been a raft of Lids showing us their creative side of late, so I thought I'd get in on the action

This is my blog, it has nothing to do with football and everything to do with food.
I've been a bit hesitant about showing it to you lot, as so far I've only shared it with real life friends and others with a similar interest plus there's a risk of it being filled with pineapple comments

The Photo's are gradually getting better (with the odd slip up), so er here it is .. Oh yeah, that's me in the Marmite T-Shirt

For Forks Sake

Looks good mate.

I love eating. Infact its pretty much the highlight of my week getting to the weekend and eating some nice food.

The pigeon breast recipe had me drooling like a labrador in a butcher's shop window.

Damn. Can I come round for tea? I;m house trained and usually well behaved.

The seared beef carpacchio with rosemary flowers sounds divine as well as looking like a very beautiful dish.

Dammit I'm starving.

That's ace. Very smart

p.s. I see you've found sense and have no pineapple pizza on there. Well done my man!

Can I put a request in?

I notice you don't have much in the way of fish on your site.

Anyway I've been getting sea bass fillets from the fish mongers every so often as a treat and putting them in a foil parcel with garlic, chilli, ginger and some wine and olive oil - then banging them in the oven until they are ready to eat. Dead simple but dead tasty.

Any ideas on something more interesting to do with them?

There's a good reason for a lack of fish, I don't like it much and nor does the missus so as you can imagine it doesn't get much of a look in. That said Sea Bass seems to favour the oven method. Particularly in foil. You could omit the oil and try adding lemon grass or Kaffir lime leaves to give it an extra delicate perfume to the fish. Fennel would also work if you like the aniseed flavour, in which case so would Star Anise or Tarragon.
If you really fancy pulling out the stops try BBC Good Food they tend to aim for the more complex recipes and just search for Sea Bass

Thanks man, it was good, little bits of meat pack a lot of flavour

Yeah I can't improve on perfection mate, if I'm really honest I prefer pepperoni anyway

Top work sir!

I am absolutely useless at cooking but love eating. Some of those dishes look superb. Chicken and chorizo is a brilliant combo so that stew has got me drooling. I'm very hungry now. Damn it!
