Another Royal Baby.

I'm old school, so I prefer us to have a hereditary monarch as Head of State than a partisan politician like Theresa May or Tony Blair. And I'd rather have Charles as Head of State than Trump.

I can see the pros and cons for both, though.

Not sure what Brexit has got to do with the Royals, btw. Most prominent republican politicians in Britain, from Kelvin Hopkins to George Galloway, actually campaigned for Brexit. And Corbyn, who isn't keen on the monarchy, has never liked the EU.

Great to see these 'modern' young royals breaking with tradition.

The celebrity Hello magazine stuff is what it is, fodder for them that are into all that. File under Celebrity Culture. Doesnt bother me.

But on the actual important stuff, (head of state, constitution, primacy of parliament, all that), I am very comfortable in my skin as liking the mix we have in the UK/Commonwealth.

Paradoxically these royals would be much happier if we were all republicans.

No appetite for photos and stories of inane inbred s, and they would be free to lead their meaningless lives 'undisturbed'.
