Dangerous tactic from the feds.

I reckon this, plus the derby ramblings, are part of a campaign by the police in a dispute with LCC. The council are more than well aware that the largest and some would argue, only, industry that Liverpool has in its economy is leisure, pubs, clubs, bars and restaurants, by targeting clubs like this it is disturbing that economy.

Seems very heavy handed and for little in the way of prosecutions, think there were 2 arrests at Garlands, from 140 police?

I've been to away games with fewer police than that.

A lot more to this than trying to nick a few dealers and 'sending out a message'

Republik? Nobody goes there but students. The drugs in garlands was obvious, but this raid is clutching at straws. Trying to use up all the overtime for this financial year, so they can put the same amount in the budget for next year.

It's crap in there anyway. There are places much worse for drugs and they would have more success if they did the raids on a Saturday night.

Could see a raid coming a mile off last night though. Horses and vans everywhere, hardly ever like that.

Thankfully I never go to Republik anyway.

Come off it mate, they are just hitting clubs. What Pubs, restaurants have they raided? There is more to leisure than a few dubious clubs. For me full marks to them, clean up the city that is what is needed. If plebs want drugs let them go some where else.
