I see all of the hard work by EITC and the results at a distance - the Atlantic Ocean to be fair.
Personally, I think it's amazing. A rare thing in the US - some token events here and there but nothing like EITC's depth of community involvement. Even more amazing, I don't see anything like it in the US where the whole club, top to bottom, are involved - players, managers, front office. Nothing. No way you would ever hear of a NFL team raising the cash to set up a program like this. Best you get are certain players from clubs going to hard pressed neighborhoods and buying out a toy store or the obligatory shift at the food kitchen on Thanksgiving and Christmas (best TV coverage).
What are the other Premier League clubs doing on this scale? I rarely, if ever, hear anything about the other clubs getting involved in their communities like Everton. Am I just missing the news?
