Since twitter hit the apps peoples behaviour online has become disgusting and it is now filtering out into actual society. I genuinely would ban twitter if they can't sort their crap out, the place is an absolute cess pit of insults and aggression.

I wish people would treat each other with respect and when you don't know someone who says something you disagree with your default mode should not be attack.

But is it Twitter that is emboldening racists?

Twitter is surely just the delivery mechanism where they express it. The fact they feel happy to do that is surely down to the rise of the Far-right in politics which all stems from the social engineering done to "win" the Brexit vote?

The Government has made it perfectly clear that there is little or no consequence to expressing racism, despite their half-heartened messaging to say it is wrong.

twitter as the platform for free speech should do more, yes, free speech shouldn't mean abuse and racism, at some point the platform itself needs to take control of itself about what is and isn't acceptable. There are real people on the end of the abuse.
