So i saw a member with a Cowboy Bebop avatar and it got me thinking, Are there many other posters interested in the genre? I have seen some classic films like Akira and Ghost in the shell. I have seen series such as deathnote, sword art online, attack on titan and cowboy bebop. Are there any films or series anybody could recommend? ;)

been watching Sword art online on netflix, what a amazing concept but I got put off it when the sister turns out to fancy her brother/cousin, that like the fourth unrequited love crush on the main guy kirito

Attack on Titan is ace - the anime is a decent representation of the manga which is equally as good. Deathnote is on my to do list.

I came late to the game with Bleach but am currently on episode 215 and will go back and read through the manga once I'm up to date.

I tend to watch the anime and then follow up with the manga if it's decent and often find the manga to be more enjoyable. This is probably as I started out with films such as Battle Angel Alita, Nausicaa and Ninja Scroll when I was younger so tend to initially gravitate towards the anime.

These days there are that many to trawl through I generally go off of word of mouth before jumping into a new anime/manga.

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is the first (unofficial) Studio Ghibli feature and is brilliant despite it's age especially if you're a fan of their later works (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke etc).

Cowboy Bebop is my favourite anime, closely followed by Evangellion. The films you mentioned are boss, in addition anything by Studio Ghibli tends to be boss; Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbour Totorro etc...

Cowboy Bebop is another on my to do list (which is ridiculously long!).

Anything Studio Ghibli create is invariably class.

Not a Ghibli but a boss film regardless:

Metropolis

Looks right up my street, that. I'd also recommend Serial Experiments Lain for those who like their heads to be severely messed with:

Randomly Caught princess mononoke few months ago and watched it, was good then had a go watching akira few weeks later, enjoyed both of them so might start getting into them
