I don't know any kids to understand what rich kids are doing differently to average kids. When I was a kid I was a suburban white kid who mixed with other kids but at that age money was nothing to me, materialism didn't exist as we were all on a level playing field. There was a kid in my class who's dad was a millionaire but he was treated just like the rest of us, he never thought he was better than anyone, you should've seen how he ate his sausage on toast at break time

Unwarranted and unearned wealth breeds arrogance and contempt and should be eradicated, especially inherited monies.

Daft statement that.

Who's going to be the judge of what is 'warranted' and who is worthy of being the recipient?

Inherited money is already taxed beyond what is reasonable and if a parent chooses to bestow his wealth onto his offspring that is his choice and he has 'earned' the right to make it. If his offspring don't respect their inheritance that is the fault of their upbringing and conditioning, but to suggest it's universal and should be treated as such is completely wrong.

Not always, very broad statement that. Prince William and Harry strike me as far from arrogant and contempt.

Perhaps it was a broad brushstroke, but inheritances in the context that they detach the recipient from an understanding of the value of earning as opposed to blind receipt. This applies to inheritance of assumed power positions as well.

As for judging 'warranted', those on the receiving end of the arrogance would be best judges for that. Differentiate between the earning of the right to bestow and the expected right of the bestowed.

I know personally of a few examples were hard working parents who had worked tirelessly for their wealth and were honest, hard working people, their offspring however had a level of expectancy that bred arrogance and a scorn for those less fortunate.

Princes William and Harry have a role to act out and the persona portrayed is meted out to them, I find them quite affable in their portrayal of those roles but doubt very much to what extent they are self determined

There have always been haves and have-nots. Up until recently, people just accepted it and got on with it. Its the proliferation of materialism, music videos showing how awesome it is to be filthy rich, MTV Cribs and My Super Sweet 16 showing the sort of life you will never have. And so people become really bitter about their lot in life, but instead of trying to do something about it, they just have a go at those who are fortunate enough to enjoy such a life, whether earned or inherited.

Again, you're applying a universal judgement on an entire spectrum of people there.

As for the expectation of the bestowed, that can apply across every level of wealth, from modest to Billionaire. I've seen some extremely ungainly scraps over very modest estates. I've equally seen what you mention there (usually 3rd generation onwards in my experience) but I've also come across some very humble recipients, as well as a couple who's seeming 'gift' was actually a financial millstone.
