This. I was totally oblivious to this until I read up on it the other day. My respect for him grew greatly after that and I was already a fan of his.

Also. What part of being a sportsman does it say you HAVE to cooperate with the media and be all happy and smiley in every interview etc...? He's clearly a very private and reserved person and I respect him for that. Look at Kimi Raikkonen and how he constantly shuns the media and gets called a LADLEGEND and an ICEMAN for it (I am a big fan of Kimi, by the way). He deals with the media in the way he wants to, it's his right. It's only because he's British/Scottish/whatever that he's under so much scrutiny. It's ridiculous.
