CBE's and such are OK, but knighthoods should be held back for sportsmen until they retire.

Sir Bradley Wiggins sounds odd while he's on his bike.

They've both achieved a lot and there's probably more to come, at least from Murray, and I think 'Sir', while
deserved, should be bestowed after retirement.

I take your point, chico, and while I support the monarchy, there have been heaps of far less deserving men who've
been knighted. Never heard of most of 'em. At least Wiggins and Murray have done something which very, very few
could even dream of.

The whole thing is out of date isn't it? Sure sat alongside the trophies he's won, being given a title by someone who's in their position by virtue of nothing more than having the right parents would seem pretty pointless.

It will always be subjective mate so that was me being a bit of a tit truth be told as I know the monarchy are still important to some.

Good on Murray for what he achieved. Thought it was a bit cheap of Cameron trying to attach votes by bringing up a knighthood straight away there. Only cheapens it. Let him play out his career first and see how he gets on. He could even turn into a sexpest like Phil Taylor and have his title taken from him.

I mean none of them do. It's not like it's a list of 80 wonderful nurses and soldiers with one sportsman on the end. It's 80 bells who don't deserve it.

It's a meaningless prize given to old ambassaders and other sons of nobiltiy in order to please their dads.

We knighted Haig and Davidson, ffs and they killed more british soldiers than any enemy we've ever faced.
