Can't say I was his biggest fan tbh. Obviously the derby goals will always help his cause and I will always be thankful for the injury time winner against Arsenal (even if I was too ill to attend in person FFS!).

Still though... he seemed to have a reputation for pace but I didn't really see it. Not slow by any means, just a bit average in my eyes. Had a good engine on him though and would run himself into the ground for the club; he would chase anything. Not to mention the countless penalties that were denied to him because the referees had it out for him.

I wouldn't begrudge him any future success in the game (provided it's not at EFC's expense) and preferably not at QPR but ah well, this isn't good for him considering his age and previous torrid time with injuries.
