Sorry to hear that, it just goes to show the fee received from Fulham proved to be the best deal ever struck by Moyes/the board.I`m sure our medical team knew his best days were behind him back then.

looks like we did really well with that deal. sad to hear, always liked him, got a bit of an unfair wrap with his 'diving', there are a lot worse.

Haha no, two seasons.

The "six year" bit was basically the start of 2007 until now, where he's netted about 35 goals in close to 150 appearances...which is poor for a midfielder.

We got good money on him and rolled it into signing Yakubu - who likewise started great and then tailed off. ANC injuries dont finish careers like they once did, good luck and get back soon AJ.

Ive got a lot of time for AJ, saw him at Wembley in 09 with his son in full Everton kit, had a nice little chat with him before we got near the ground and he got mobbed, he never stopped smiling, good fella.

Hope you come back stronger AJ lad.
