Watched this man on "Sky" comparing Felli's actions to Joey Barton's attempts at unprovoked violence when he got a 9 match ban advocating this for Felli whilst contemptuously dismissing Moyes refreshing "guilty" response as him not being able to do anything else.

He repeated the same on BBC radio in the afternoon and this morning his paper (the mirror) is perpetuating the scurrilous story.

Other journalists on the programs took issue with him with the guy on the radio pointing out the "holding" by Shawcross etc. Now no sane fan is going to deny Felli needs punishing but this Dunn is a renowned red and a greater abuse of journalistic licence I've yet to see.

If you buy the Mirror, please stop

I'm afraid that we are easy game for these "meeja" bar stewards,we take every decision against us without hounding officials, our boss is a shining light amongst the other one eyed managers in the Premier League, just ignore them and don't buy their rags!!!

remember this?

Was this on Sunday supplement ? I always quite enjoyed the show but only the other day someone in the game was just rubbishing it and saying how 'out of touch' the journo's where, that paddy Barkley in particular was given a hard time as being particularly clueless as he'd spoken about something the person I know was involved in and he was miles off . Some journo's have good contacts with a particular manager or agent who feeds him good stuff (I think it's mcgarry who is close to the Chelsea players) so he'll get a few good bits of juicy gossip or inside info but does it make them any more knowledgable about other clubs or the game generally ?

I'd treat a lot of what they say with the contempt it deserves.

A spot on article sums everything up into prospective of what most blues fans think - the prem have to look at the rules to the refs , & apply them this is football not Rugby - if all holding is banned Stokes home record would be so poor imo as they would concede pens for fun -most teams do it, but they are a class masters at home with their supporters baying for everything - the article is right & spot on imo - Felli was wrong in the way he retaliated, he felt unprotected, & both he & manager have apologised, but should this be allowed by a ref to spoil a game of football a corner or set piece should be an advantage to an attacking side not to be helled, grappled with, blocked anywhere else on the pitch the ref would penalise this act!

Probably first time in history I'd now be inclined to buy the Mail over the Mirror to read at lunchtime when I have a break

Not convinced he has an anti-EFC agenda, but he does like to moralise.

Fellaini has made it easy for critics to go over the top by having three pops at Shawcross.

love martin samuel, hes a big west ham fan ,but he has got a lot of time for everton ,as he says in his article halsey was happy to let shawcross get away with murder all day
