When my mate told me he had signed for us, i watched it on the nine oclock news and then again on the news at ten, because it just wouldnt sink in that we had somehow managed to steal one of Man U’s best players in his prime? I absolutely loved him playing for us!

Signed too late to play in Europe when we were knocked out by Feyenoord - left too soon & too cheaply - not sure of what really went on but he always speaks fondly on his time with us. Top player.

Why don't the Club make more of a thing when doing the HT walk-ons by ex-players? Typically all that happens is that the player walks on, waves to all corners of the ground, then exits back down the tunnel. Why don't they have video action of the player on the big screens? Why don't they have a short interview with him? What a HT break that would have been at the last home game when Kanchelskis appeared on the pitch. Film of his goals at Everton and an interview about his time here. Not too much to arrange surely.
