So I just watched Andre Ward take out Chad Dawson quite easily, Chad Dawson is a class operator and no mistake. Dawson Dropped a division so it was Champ vs Champ.

A lot of people are claiming him to be #1 P4P champ, for me personally its still Floyd, until I see him beat or he leaves the sport I think its pretty difficult to take that tag away.

Who do you think is the P4P champ right now?

Mayweather Jnr. easily, Ward is a great fighter no doubt about it but can't be considered the best pound for pound fighter until he has won the Title in more than one division (i.e. Mayweather in five weight divisions)

It did seem quite easy for Ward after the 1st round, 3 knockdowns for Dawson and didn't seem to get out of 2nd gear

One thing I have never seen before was the ref ask Dawson, do you want me to stop it and Dawson replied "yes", I was shocked by that, being a world champ as well.

He was soundly beaten tonight though.

Still floyd, followed by Ward though, he is excellent, superbly skilled operator, dont really rate Dawson that highly but still a good win on Wards CV, he's cleaned up the super mids, and now beaten the top guy at light heavy, where to next?

From what I've sen he will be. Not there yet though. He's accurate as any fighter I've ever seen and he's got the power to go with it. His footwork is superb too.

He's talking about moving up to light heavy but there's not many fights for him there. I was hoping he'd drop to middle and fight Floyd at that weight, cos there's no way Floyd will be going up to super middle.

Based on Pac's last three fights Ward v Mayweather is the biggest fight out there for me.

There is a good 10kilos difference mate I'd be astounded if you ever saw that fight made.

Ward did exceptionally Well but I think his real problem is there isn't really a 'super fight' out there for him to allow him to really make his case but he's certainly I,pressing. As an aside I'm not delighted by the association with victor conte if I'm honest

In my books mayweather pacquiao would still be the biggest fight, definitely.

It's appeal as a 'boxing fight' although still there is slipping but as a spectacle it'd be huge

Not really sure how Conte has still got a place in sport at this point? Agree on the 'super fight'. Two wins at light heavy and he's stuck again, carrying a lot of extra muscle. He'll be thinking about the money, like they all do, so if they can't get a genuine top fighter for him someone will be bigged up to the max. Be a shame for him as even five years ago ther'd have been massive fights for him. Calzaghe v Ward would have been mesmerising.

Pac-man is at the point now where his outside life dominates what he does in the ring. It's clear as day when you watch him. His own trainer has talked bout how he doesn't train properly anymore. For Marquez beat him and never looked too troubled doing it. Floyd would do him comfortably at this point IMO.

I don't think my post was 'glowing' enough about ward as he is an exceptional boxer and on the edge of greatness, there was real hype about khan and no hype about ward and one talented fighter stepped up and pretty much outclassed the opponent (froch) and the other was sadly shown to be 'all fur coat & no knickers'

Mayweather would have done Pacquiao at any point in his career to be honest. He's a class above anyone that has been around for the last decade.

Ward strikes me as someone who will slip up in a fight he's expected to win at some point. Certainly not P4P best - in the top five though.
