in memoriam - 1961-2023
Yesterday, and this morning I had a really stressful time of things - really a bit hacked off!

But this morning I was in a large retailer/wholesaler in Liverpool and as I was walking around I saw a group of carers walking around with about 10 autistic children - one or two in wheelchairs - generally quite severely autistic - and I thought what wonderful people they are (not just the lovely children) to take care of those less fortunate than the rest of us... and I took a few seconds to pass them by and smiled (my late brother was autistic).

And then I went outside and saw their minibus... emblazoned with those famous four words, laurel leaves and Prince Rupert's Tower and I thought to myself, "you know what, you can stick your five times up where the sun doesn't shine. How could you not be proud to be an Evertonian"

That is brilliant that. My son, (18) is autistic, and the support he gets from the various carers is amazing. Sorry to hear about your brother, had no idea mate.

Brilliant post mate, hope you're feeling better.

And Roydo, hope all is well with you. Been down myself lately but this puts things in perspective.

Great stuff. Love it when this sort of thing happens. To be fair, the sh^te do similar things too.

It can never be overstated the amazing work carers do, they deserve so much and receive so little..

Perspective definitly applies here.
