Was watching the documentary 'Lost Kingdoms of Central America' on BBC iPlayer, this one was about the America's oldest civilisation, the Olmec, who thrived over 3,000 years ago.
Now the Olmec were responsible for the big giant head statues*:

Anyway, I digress, I just find ancient civilisations a compelling subject. I've a book written by Neil Oliver 'A History of Ancient Britain' and it's one of my favourite books.
*Now I know many of you will tag @chicoazul here, so I'll take the fun away from you all and do it myself.
