I reckon Pienaar has done better than Arteta this season easily (no wind up Mike, for once mate). Along with Carsley and Lescott, he has been one of our players of the season. Every time I get to watch him he really makes an impression on me, an absolute steal if we get him for under three million when you consider the quality he has and the impact he makes on our team.

He really is that important.

I agree 100%. He never stops running, chasing the ball down better than anyone else, plays left or right, has a beautiful touch and can deliver a corner as well as Arteta although he doesn't read the game quite as well at him. We will miss this little guy, a key player. Let's only hope we can keep him for next season, with his profile right now his price must be increasing by the week.

That means Pienaar comes back early and lets face it, he's been acer than Arteta this year.

Im liking him, Im liking him a lot.

congrats, 100% right.

As much as I love arteta, his christiano-esque posturing is starting to do my head in.

I 'd say hes been ineffectual for at least half a dozen games this term, whereas once pienaar got rolling, he hasnt had a single bad game, has more assists, and is just as clever as arteta but less flashy and more direct!

aside from yobo, our squad isn't much weaker than what we had last term and we did just [Poor language removed] fine. aj vaughan anichebe and sometimes faddy all have goals in them, maybe they won't finish as often as yak but there buildup play might even be a little better. we're going to miss the depth in midfield but moyes isn't a fool and i'm sure he'll bring in someone to help out, hell osman had been immense towards the beginning of the term, a carsley osman arteta cahill structure in midfield with jags and nev mixed in might not be so bad.

my point is we'll undoubtedly have to work at it, but i don't see this hurting us too hard, there's really no worry of yak working himself to death while he's down there so i think once its done our players will return in great form.

all in all i'm not too worried, it could be much much worse we're not in a position like chelsea are.

also what the hell is with mccarthy being excluded, he's a great player and i think its stupid blackburn get to hang on to him for the month.
