An outsiders perspective on DM

Bingo; nail on the head.

David Moyes from year 1-7 was spectacular. Now after assembling a great squad -- not a band of average players like he had originally -- he's failing to meet the standards we set with said average players. And although the teams around us have improved immensely since the early DM days, he's still not getting nearly enough out of what he's built.

David Moyes has been a genuine saviour for us, and he's a fantastic underdog manager. But he still hasn't made the final step, for me. I do hope he can though. He deserves the chance to get some real financial backing for once.

What a load of nonsense. In that paragraph.

And frankly he's not been able to make consistent strides due to a lack of finance..

Would you trade Moyes for either of them? I wouldn't. It's easier to win with lots of money and a deep squad. Apples and oranges.

No I wouldn't, but you said they'd trade for David Moyes, not the other way around. Managing Chelsea and managing Everton are two very different things.

What a load of nonsense. In that paragraph.

And frankly he's not been able to make consistent strides due to a lack of finance..

Yawn.

If I was BBIMV I'd have a picture of a smashed record here.

Sorry but you've lost me there. Which part of the paragraph is nonsense? Or is it all nonsense? seems to all make sense to me

Agree with you on the lack of finance

they are deluded, as suspected all along.

Moyes was a centre half and they want him to step in for a £35 million centre forward.

this just actually made me lol

most people i speak to outside merseyside pretty much have the opinion he is paid far too well to sit at a club for so long without winning anything...
have to say i agree to a point he should have at least put a carling or fa cup in the cupboard by now, redknapp did it with a portsmouth so there is no reason we should have by now,

I disagree with all the Moyes haters, I find it quite sad actually.

Whos hating?
Theres a difference between criticism and hating.

Youve either got fans who discuss and criticise what moyes does in a football sense, or you have ones that blame everyone else. Again its not hating.

But back to point, outsiders looking in tend to see moyes working miracles with an average squad of players and see his lack of spending to throw that "what if he had money" idea into the mix.

In fact its praising moyes when you defend the fact our team is better than what the outsiders think
