An Evening with David Moyes

Fair play to the club for putting together something in honour of the Moyesiah's ten year anniversary.

Nevermind the kneejerking and the harsh judgements of our manager - i agree with a lot of the criticism, but i try to identify with Moyes. I try to figure out why he's subbing Cahill of for Neville when we're trailing, why he doesn't play Barkley and what did Yakubu ever do wrong and will Pienaar come back and so on, etc. I mean, surely, after 10 years in a job you're bound to get the job, the ethic and your own philosophy so much under your skin that you obviously understand how banal your tactics can look to the fans, at least when the team isn't playing well. I'd rather sit and ruminate on what he tells the players day in day out and what he himself thinks is the way forward, the masterplan. And i'd think i wouldn't be able to figure out what he is doing, like not understanding the language of doublespeak in 1984. But on the other hand, if i were to take the job, i'd be taking a lot of time out to figure out how to work the controls. Is the circle button the one you shoot with? Aight. Oh. Oh **** off.

I'd end up smashing his face in.

Really ?

Fair enough.

I'd personally sit there laughing inside about what a ridiuclously limited manager he is.
Yet speak to anyone within the game and his peers they tell you a completely different story. It's all about opinions and i respect that, but if he has achieved what he has within everton being a LIMITED MANAGER then who would have done a better job?. Maybe he is that top manager and most other managers would have taken us down given the squad he inherited and the funds at his disposal. Just my opinion like.

I would ask him what,s it like going into the tenth year of your five year plan and why have we not won a fn thing in this time.Guests all stand and chant MOYES OUT LOL 80.00 quid ffs Everton a fiver and a pie is enough

I would ask him what's it like building a team, nurturing quality players, then having to sell at least one player a season to keep us ticking over, and replacing them with loans.
