I’m off to the Dam tomorrow and with the derby on Sunday I’m after a place to watch the game in town.

I could do with advice on where’s good, if there’s any Amsterdam pub knowledge knocking about?

Get pissed up and throw a load of bikes in the river like a proper football fan abroad. Smash your way through the window of one of the working girls and drunkenly propose to her while telling her how she understands you more than your current missus ever has, then weep as you get carted off by dutch police for being the utter disgrace that you are.

Is right mate. Used to be a sports bar on the bottom of the red light district down the road from centraal station. Just keep going down them roads and you’ll find somewhere. The one I’m thinking of you can smoke and drink in so I’d go for that if that’s your cup of tea like.

Where about are you staying?
If you're near the centre try the road called warmoestraat there is a few bars there that I've watched football in. Can smoke in them too if that's your thing.
