Amir Khan v Carlos Molina tonight....

He's beat decent fighters just below the top tier, like Judah, Kotelnik and Salita, but none of the actual superstars in the division. And, of course, he's lost to Garcia dramatically, who is another one who is just below top tier.

I agree with you completely. A half decent fighter would have knocked him out again last night because he dives in straight with his chin up all the time. This was against a very one dimensional fighter too; he shouldn't have landed anything.

Khan is possibly the best in the world on the offence as his hand speed is phenomenal, as is his selection of shots from various angles, but he has a glass chin and a weak defence.

His most notable win was probably against Maidana, who has since been made to look like a novice against Alexander.

Have to agree on the hand speed, but he doesn't seem to possess too much power in them, last time he stopped someone before last night was Judah, who I think was only there for the $$$ that night.

Khan is a talented fighter but there is a difference between talent & being a world champion . Khan bossed a fight against a blown up fighter with no punching power who was (and this is no criticism ) a perfect comeback opponent.

Hunter is a decent trainer but if he wants to change khan he's got to cajole, Bully & influence a fighter who as soon as he's hit reverts to type and wants to prove he's the 'bigger man' and that's just such a tough sell. I've never seen khan even look like he's listening in the corner . was it the Abraham fight when McCracken almost pulled Froch back to the order each round ? The trainer gave his fighter no chance to be distracted and lose focus he bossed his fighter but in my opinion it's a lot easier to do that to Froch than khan .

We won't see if khan has changed until the next time he gets caught and whether he gets dragged into a brawl and I suspect it'll always be there just beneath the surface.
