Extremely embarrassing and cringeworthy isn't it? I'm having my enjoyment of the Bulls @ Pelicans ruined by continued mass masturbation over the military.

Now I say this as someone who has had four step-brothers see action in Afghanistan and Iraq, but it reminds me of that Chris Rock skit "Niggaz always want credit for some stuff they supposed to do. …" Seriously, why make such a big song and dance over doing something you sign up for and are supposed to do as part of your job remit? Do we dedicate a special day to emergency service workers? No. So why celebrate military personnel doing what they're supposed to do.

This isn't a stab at military personnel, I appreciate what they do and their bravery, and hold them in the same esteem as I do the emergency services and teachers, but forgive me if I don't elevate them above that.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest as it has irked me.

Here's a picture everyone can enjoy:

What a moaning little bish first poster.

most jobs except maybe Emergency services don't routinely involve people putting their lives on the line.

The Charlie Ebdo shootings and the police needing military support should highlight that we're lucky to be protected by the military.

Yes there is the minority bad egg. But that's why military justice is more severe than civilian justice.

So kindly pipe down on your moaning.

I'm sure the people of Nigeria and Iraq and Syria would love to be protected by their own non-corrupt military.

Weapons and technology is a multi trillion $ industry, making a few people very rich indeed.
There has to be some justification for it.
