All these managers getting sacked is becoming a joke

I think we need a new rule

A team can only sack two managers per season

If a manager resigns, that's one thing, but something needs to be done to curtail this culture we have of sacking managers at the drop of a hat

It's becoming embarrassing

If a retail company sacked 10 managers across a 6 month period, there'd be a government inquest

Totally agree. It's got worse as the TV revenue has grown, the price of relegation is now so vast that the new breed of owners knee jerk if they hit a bad run of form

I think statistics show things don't improve when teams replace their manager anyway, so it's pointless. Unless you've got a Paulo Di Canio situation I suppose.

So glad we don't join in with all that managerial merry go round business. Imagine if we'd got Megson instead of Moyes, who knows who we'd have had by now!

surely if there's a limit it should be one?

you're not going to see a team make more than 2 sackings a season.

what if you get an instance like cardiff where the manager is sneaking funds into his pocket, only he's your 3rd manager of the season and he was only in it to steal money and instead you're stuck with him from january to the end of the season.

if they get unfairly dismissed they get a nice compensation package and you wouldn't expect their rep to be too tarnished because any owner worth their salt will judge them on their ability not the nature of their sacking.

personally, i look forward to a day where you can hire a different manager per match i.e. which one will suit you more etc. LOL

Wonder if the pressure of delivering instant and continous results is a big factor limiting the number of youngsters being introduced into the games.

Who is going to go to the time and hassle of bringing through a kid when you are far more likely to be punished by their mistakes than rewarded by their eventual improvement?

The Meulensteen thing is mad. Didn't he last just a few days at his Russian club as well before he joined Fulham?

From Brian Kidd to Steve McClaren, few coaches seem to leave Man Utd and become good managers on their own.

mcclaren's done well though, baring the england travesty.

There's something to be said for only being able to change your manager during a window which starts and ends a few weeks before the transfer window. Last chance to sack your manager is by 11pm tonight could be interesting.

In an emergency ( like death or stress related to managing ManU ) clubs could be allowed to appoint someone outside the window.
