All quiet on the Goodison front

It has normally always been detailed way before this time of year.

In 2009 it was May, 2010 it was April, in 2011 it was March.

All three were overseas tours (US, Aus, Austria/US). So, hopefully this means the team won't be doing any crazy s**t and just focus on some simple friendlies (against lower teams and even some one-off bigger European clubs) and pre-season training at home.

Get the players comfortable training at FF before the season starts. None of this continent jumping, it surely only distracts the side.

EDIT: I f**king loved it when Everton played in Sydney (except for the pink strip) but I would much, much prefer they focus on having a better season.

Swerve the pre-season! It's done nothing for our early season form in last half dozen or so seasons. Just rock up on the day lads! She'll be right!

Seriously though, what's happened with the whole Park End thing? Did they ever find those Roman ruins or whatever?

i dont mind the club going somewhere for some of the preseason for 2 reason. First it helps with a our marketing and second, going somewhere that is baking hot actually helps with our fitness. As someone who lives in a place where it regularly hits over 100F and 100% humidity in the summer, trying to run and play sport in the summer is tough...certainly I feel like my fitness drops, but as soon as the temperatures drop, I feel stronger than ever and can exercise for longer and with greater intensity. I imagine it's the same for the players. Doing some preseason in Colorado or Texas where the players have to deal with tough conditions, but then coming back to the cooler english temperatures....I think a 10 day burst in the US could be worth 2-3 weeks of fitness training at FF

would be good if any fitness trainers could comment on my theory
