To be out of the League Cup without a fight is poor. One thing you can say about Martinez is that he fired us on in cup competitions and I think if the United semi went to extra time, we would've beat them.

Martinez brought some good days back to Goodison as well as some bad. I want Koeman to have the same understanding of the fan base that Martinez had. I want Koeman to realise how unique our support is.

Isn't he the only manager in our history to take us out of both cups at the first stage?
