I dont usually make threads, just snarky posts but i saw this on twitter and a couple of non-official sites.

IF (big if) the article is to be believed then Everton would be one of if not THE richest club in the Premier league. According to the always accurate site of Wiki, the Russian Usmanov is worth 14.1 billion, a considerable chunk of change more than that guy over at Chelsea.

Look I dunno if this story has legs but if it does I am not entirely sure how I feel about an oligarch ultimately have a large say in the direction of the team. He has definitely invested while at Arsenal which is commendable in that he believes money must solve everything but we know as Toffees that Money cant buy you Ston....oh hell. I welcome our Russian overlord.

Merge mods? Anyway a there's a number of reasons why this won't happen stop wanting to believe things people! It's driving me nuts. Before I get abuse logically look at the reasons then youl go Ohhh Yearh.

he will never buy in at everton. The only way he would is if we suddenly turned into a title winning team, arsenal massively nose dived AND kroenke (spelling?) offered him 10 times the amount of his shares value all at the same time.

He would turn us in to title winners. Chelsea, Man City hadn't won anything for years, maybe a facup

He holds shares in arsenal for more than business mate. Its a sentimental thing for him, he wants to pass the shares to his kids as a family thing.

So it would take a massive change for him to deviate from that. Remember he owns shares in a club he will never be able to buy more in as the majority holder wants to buy his at the same time.
