Not dead and very much still rocking at the absolute top of his game. Saw him in concert last night in London, at the O2 Arena, the man is an absolute rock 'n' roll legend. 5th time I've seen him now going back a long time, still performing with a verve that guys a third of his age would want. His band pack some serious firepower as well, my head is still spinning this morning.
Loads of bands on the bill, scattered around different stages. Michael Monroe, ex-Hanoi Rocks, gave the most entertaining and hilarious 45 minutes of rock I've seen in a long time. More camp than Camp Bastion, more high kicking than the Moulin Rouge and more dynamic audience incursion than Eric Cantona at Selhurst Park! In the evening, he came and sat in the crowd with everyone else for the Alice Cooper show, accompanied with a huge designer handbag, making Mrs TD very jealous!
The pantomine season started early with the main support act, The Darkness, brought the place down and seemingly fronted up by Austin Powers in his frills. A rock band who never tried to be too serious and all the better for it.
