Don't know if this has been shown before. Mini documentary about the Golden Vision that's featured on Bob Latchford' s Facebook page.

Oh Mate, wow, wow. Like me you have seen him play so many times I can't remember. Was he not also nick named Twinkle Toes?
But what a player for some one so small, and boy could he get up for a header. Recall way back when we played the Baggies, I was in the away supporters end with my Da'. A cross came in and Alex headed it in right in front of us. We won that game, wish I could remember the date but it was in the early 60s.

Probably 7 May 1963 mate, Everton won 4-0 Young got 2, Vernon and own goal other scorers.

I was lucky to see him as a boy, and on his day totally unplayable - when ALan Ball came he wore the no 7 shirt, and they were magic together!

..there are some players who I say play in carpet slippers because their touch is so natural and exquisite, Young was like that. I have to admit that He wasn't my favourite but he was on the same wavelength as Bally and they did link well.

My old fella still worships him to this day,he's normally quite reserved in his praise for our boys, but he'll eulogise all day long about the Golden Vision,I've been fortunate enough to meet him and hey, what a humble, lovely bloke he really is,a credit to our club:)

This. A truly wonderful man.

My dad is near 70 and still gets misty eyed talking about 'The Vision'
