Hi all, a member was helped immensely by Alder Hey hospital and as such is supporting the cause of fund raising for the neo natal unit which helped his relative.

Jacob Brooke's was born on 7th August and was diagnosed with Hirschsprungs Disease and rushed to Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool. He has had an ileostomy and is now doing really well. For the first weeks of his life he was cared for on the Neonatal unit at Alder Hey. The nurses and medical staff on the unit were amazing and not only got Jacob well enough to come home, but also provided support for his parents Louise & Paul. Louise & Paul & their family & friends are deeply appreciative the efforts of the staff on the neonatal unit.
Dave & Clare are taking part in a Duathlon on 7th October and hope to raise funds for the neonatal unit so that other children and families are supported in the loving and understanding way that Jacob, Louise &Paul were. Please give a donation to help this amazing and worthy cause.

Going to leave this pinned for a week so if you would like to donate please click on the above link.

Many thanks

The staff at Alder Hey should be the highest paid Nurses in the World, nothing but praise for the dedication they have in their jobs. A few of them even attended the funeral of my Son which clearly goes above and beyond their duties.

At the time we received numerous donations from family and friends which we passed on to the hospital.

If ever a cause was justified, Alder Hey Hospital is it.

Will donate when I get paid on Friday

Cheers so far for pledges/donations guys.

It is our Jacob that is suffering poor little mite, but he's just one of many that need so much help.

Thanks for all the help in advance, and cheers Mick for sticking this.

Done..
I had an ileostomy and a colostomy as a grown man aged in his early 30's, I cant even imagine how a tiny baby would get on with it. I hope it gets reversed in time and that the little fella comes out just fine, and there is every chance he will.. Good luck guys..

Lads, MrsG works in Alder Hey so if it's ok, I've given her the money to give to the donations department. Hope that's ok.
