Couldnt agree more. From my own experiences, I`d say this is definitely a contributing factor.
Virtually everyone I know, who`s been brought up in a household where everyone drinks all the time and a drink is always available, seems to have carried on in the same way. This is despite family members dying early of alcohol related illnesses and suffering health problems of their own too as a result.
Women seem to hide it better than fellas too - a bottle of wine over the course of the night, without getting drunk. Then over the course of time, the bottle gets opened earlier and earlier, one bottle becomes two and before they know it, they`re drinking during the day too.
Humans are repetitive in how they behave, we mimc other behaviours especially when we are young. Those.memories aee kept in our heads, and resurface later, think abuse, violence, alcoholism, actually being nice, well brought up and so on.
Alcohol, and i still drink, but only for a few days in the year now due to work, is a demon, i can never fathom why it isnt outlawed, as opposed to weed for example, the pros and cons for each are clear to see.
