was OK, wasn't expecting it to be great though, but had to watch it. The funniest part was when he slapped the guy in the face with his glove whilst doing a hitler impression

Wasn't a huge fan of his before I went in, but seemed like a relatively seamless transition from tv to cinema to me. Laughed pretty much all the way through.Don't understand the criticism.
I'm a Partridge fan and I thought it was as good as a Partridge film could have been. Went back to see it for a second time with some mates and still laughed more than during any other film I've seen in the past 5 years.

Many shows have failed in this regard, it was pleasing to see that this film seems to have learnt from the mistakes. It kept it relatively small scale and stuck with what it knows and it works. That should not be glossed over. It's incredibly difficult to translate a 20-30 minute TV show into a feature film, especially when it's a comedy -- as it's obviously a lot more difficult to keep people laughing for an hour and a half.

Loved Alpha Papa. Thought it was going to be rubbish but it was actually really good, as good as Partridge in his prime.
Nowhere near season one or two of I'm Alan Partridge mate.
Which is fine, as the character has evolved a lot since then.
