Come on the PatsWell tonight sees Rovers v St Pat's in the President's Cup (similar to the Charity Shield - League winners v Cup Winners).
The league itself starts next week. Hopefully Rovers maintain their form although I think it will be much tighter this season.
My late Mam was born and reared in Connolly Avenue. My Dad's grandfather was a butcher on Emmet Road and what is now Richmond Park was his lairage for animals before slaughter. So I have an affinity for Pat's and was delighted with the Cup win.Come on the Pats
I have great time for the candy stripes. Passionate loyal fans that cross the sectarian divide. A really good addition to our league and a loss to the rather less open IFA.I suspect Derry will have a very good season and good on them. A city that deserves some success.
Although I was very young I can remember Cork Hibernians at Milltown. Also Cork Albert's, Cork Celtic and Cork City. Agreed, Cork should have a premier League teamIt would be nice if Cork City get promoted. A city like Cork should have a team in the top flight imo.
Believe Rovers were poor that Pats should have won? Always back Alan Mannus in a peno shoot out.A bit bleary eyed this morning. That is one we stole. Pat's should have been out of sight.
It should be a fascinating league this year.
