As soon as booking is confirmed, go to seat selector and choose 13C (Emergency exit, aisle, left hand side).
Check in online day prior. Turn up at airport, go through security and into Qantas lounge and get Barista to make me a double shot flat white. Grab a couple of mints on the way out and board the plane.

For return flight, pretty much the same except have beer in Qantas club instead of coffee because it is an afternoon flight

Take a bus to the airport. Fly past security. Get a lager (two). Hop on an airplane. Try not to think about what will be going on at the target destination.
